A fun recall game to build urgency around distractions!
Set out some low value items in two lines with an alley down the middle. Add some low value treats or toys.
The aim is for your dog to avoid temptation and recall to you without stopping along the way.
Ask your dog to ‘stay’ or ask a helper to gently restrain them by the harness at one end of the alley. Walk to the other end and recall your dog, being as enthusiastic as possible. When they arrive, give them a high value reward and lots of praise – it’s a difficult one!
If they get tempted by anything in the alley – don’t worry! Try again with lower value temptations.
