We’ve taken you to the Olympics, set sail across the Seven Seas and found pirates in the Bermuda Triangle. We flew you to the future for Scentventure Spacestars and last year you stepped back in time and into Jurassic Dog Park for Scentventursaurus.

A summer makeover
This August Dogwood East and West are being transformed into the pages from a storybook. We were feeling a little nostalgic for summers gone by when we were planning the Sunshine Scentventures theme, and so we cast our minds back to those long childhood summers when school was out and we played games, went on adventures and transported ourselves to distant realms in the pages of a book.

We recommend packing some tasty dog treats for your field trip. Nothing fancy - very small pieces of cheese or hotdog work well. Everything else is provided for you.
Field hire
Book your own adventure this August. Jump into a time machine and set the dial to the future for Adventures in Outer Space, or spin back the clock and enter the Land Before Time. Go beachcombing and play I Spy, look out for enchanted realms and cheer your dog on as they complete the Sports Day obstacle course.

Summer’s in full swing and our in person classes are following suit with some and immersive Sunshine Scentventure strategies to help your nervous, reactive, and high energy dogs calm down, relax and listen to you - while having a lot more fun!

From serious dog training techniques to make your summer outings safer, easier and more enjoyable, to enrichment, crafts and recipes, there’s something for every summer mood. Choose the parts you like best or have a go at everything.
- Teach your dog the potentially lifesaving ‘Emergency Stop’ command to halt them in their tracks wherever you are (and see how we make this fun by incorporating a childhood game!). This one is so essential that we think every dog owner should know it.
- Techniques for recall and loose lead walking so you can enjoy relaxing walks. This is not the usual boring loose lead walking and recall training, of course there’s a seasonal twist!
- How to take the techniques out onto your everyday walks to make your dog calm down, focus and listen to you.
- Activities for the full spectrum of canine enrichment: food, sensory, environmental, cognitive, tactile and social enrichment. At home, in the garden and on walks.
- And of course, plenty of feel-good adult mindfulness prompts to lift the spirits, unwind and connect.
